    NINJAM QUICK START GUIDE

    1. Go to http://ninjam.com, download and install the appropriate version of the client.

    2. Start Ninjam. Select Options/Audio Configuration from the upper menu.

    3. Pick “WaveOut” as Input/Output System and check that your default sound device is selected as both Input and Output Device. Press OK.

    4. Select File/Connect from the upper menu and fill in as follows:
    Connect to Host: 81.208.125.39:8003
    Username: musico1 to musico5
    Password: musicpass

    5. Connect and play your music using the metronome as a syncing device.

    6. If you want to stream from a CD or MP3 player instead than from a mic or an instrument plugged into your “line in” plug, you’ll probably need to set just one more configuration:
WIN users// Access your computer’s volume control either by double-clicking the speaker icon on your task bar, or by going into your control panel, entering the sound and audio configuration window, and there clicking the “advanced” button in the middle of the volume panel.
Now, in the volume control window go to the options menu, and click properties. You will have a choice between seeing playback and recording controls, so choose the latter and close the dialog. Now you will have some volume sliders, with a check box saying “Select” beneath them. You need to select the output of your sound card. “Wave encoder” and “Mono Out” both work great for me.

Maox’s ninjam server is always up and proved pretty stable, so if you crash check your connection first.

If you’r using our shoutcast server (not always up, but we’r working on it), setting for SL/Cyberlandia land media is: http://81.208.125.39:8000/radio.mp3
If you don’t own any land, you can hear your stream at our meeting point in SL:

    Enjoy!!
